MugWug:

I upgraded my entire system about a month ago. I have an LCD which is a big improvement over the CRT; Quad-core processor; 4GB of RAM. You will appreicate the LCD, I think. Also, I'm using Vista, and have had no problems as of yet. I'd recommend sticking with XP for now, as it is a stable OS.

In the past when I had W2K for an OS, I used "registry clean expert" to keep the registry fresh and it worked great. Look for it on the web.

Isn't 15" kind of small?
Don't get me wrong LCD Vs. CRT is a big improvement, but it's like a laptop screen, no?
Maybe it's the stress of your "Redneck" neighbors that's got everyone sick.

Yeah - the problem with Windows, ever since Win/95, is that it 'never forgets anything' ... especially difficult to get crap out of the system registry.

But starting with a fresh image and reinstalling everything (especially if the original CD is not where you left it!) is no day at the beach either.

Hope your colds, or whatever, start to settle down soon - now that the weather is finally starting to behave more like spring!
