Go big or stay home, right?

Published by Mugwug at 19:43:31 under General

So I’m afraid I may have bitten off a little more than I can chew at once, but so far I’m not choking to death.

Quitting smoking was overdue (and we’re still on track there, over 30 days and counting), cutting down on my coffee was a good idea (if poorly timed what with the quitting smoking thing), regular exercise is a habit that’s going to take more some work but a morning regimen of chinups, pushups and situps is in the works. Increasing my water intake daily was good (and actually worked with the “less coffee” thing), and not spending money is always a good idea, but puts pressure on everything else when I forget to bring water or lunch with me because they’re new habits.

The internet is still present in my life, but my thinking is a little scattered right now, and I’ve got a few dozen half finished blog entries that I am having trouble completing. I don’t hold out a lot of hope, but that’s another area that needs some work, no?

Congrats on the quitting! I hope to follow your lead by summertime. Hey, if you can do quit, so can I!

    Keep the faith man.

    I’m in the rationalization stage:
Coffee is mostly water, and water is healthy.
I inhale more air than smoke, and air is healthy.

Mel: Holy Capajoles! Long time no hear/speak/see! How the hell have you been doing?

Ayup, if I can quit, anyone can…no argument here.

Piet: Meh, like I said on the phone. If you still enjoy smoking then meh, if you hate it like I did (with the exception of that one, rare smoke) then drop it.

Truth be told, the coffee is hurting more than the smokes.

I’ve gone back to the demon bean juice. I’m only drinking one or two cups a day, generally black, but might toss in a sugar packet if I’m feeling run down.

Good work on the exercise, I’ve fallen off so badly it’s not funny. I last ran about a week ago and it was a measly 12km.

    Keep it up!

Never smoked (okay, cigars for a year and quit more easily than anyone I ever knew),I am a recovering Coke (cola) addict and I’m Doing the espresso thing to keep me lively at 1 AM, but I applaud your efforts. Just don’t stop being you.
