    Well… they’re not laser pistols, which is kinda what I was getting at….

    I wouldn’t personally define old-fashioned as a blunderbuss or some such.

    Pieter - they’re just scientists - the laser pointers are necessary to help them aim, especially with those face plates on their suits.
