He's got all but 4 of his teeth, but he already has 4 cavities. None are totally through the enamel yet, and he's in no pain. But he's only 27lbs, so they can't put him under a general, which i'd be extremely nervous of anyway.

So we might have to do nightly flouride treatments after the doctor does a thorough scraping. it's gonna get ugly, as Wes HATES us brushing his teeth as it is.

Good to hear Jilly was trooper, it seems the same way here, Wes'd try to walk through walls if we let him, nothing fazes that kid but Mom and Dad are the ones freaking out.

Option 1 was Friday I take it? I have no idea what the aunts are up to and it's starting to cheeze us off. I have a schedule too ya know.

I feel scared for those doctors and dentists: I can picture them shaking their heads in disgust and preparing a really condescending, berating lecture for the irresponsible parents. However, they arrive in the waiting room to see either a wild-eyed, under-slept nutbar with an "I survived the Zombocalypse" t-shirt or a six-foot, wild-eyed, under-slept red-haired Viking listening to Nine Inch Nails and Johnny Cash on his I-Pod Nano. Of course, they're foolish enough to crack on and begin giving the fathers a good dressing-down.

Then the wives show up...

Dad: Ayup... not the worlds biggest incident, and it could certainly have been a lot worse. Jilly was a trooper through the entire ordeal (except the stitches themselves) and it was Daddy who was getting tired and stressed keeping her entertained and engaged while waiting.

Don't really remember the St. Andrews incident, I remember taking the buckle of one of those elastic belts to the head at Davisville public while goofing around in the playground.

Makes one wonder just how many head injuries I've suffered.

-GRIN-

Carbonman: Oh come on now, you can't hang my aberrant thought processes on a single incident. I personally think it was a combination of head injuries, early exposure to Monty Pythons and wierd and wonderful horror movies while growing up. But thats just my opinion.

Theodore: So whats the verdict on Wes?

Oh yes, I've heard from the Aunties, option 1 for a visit wasn't well timed, option two isn't much better I'm afraid, I'm just trying to figure an option three to suggest before firing back a response.

had similar feelings last week having to hold down Wes while a pediatric dentist poke at his (multiple) cavities. The kid is tough. He survived, Mommy and Daddy are scarred.

Did you get the warning that the aunties want to come see Jilly?

Ah! The first scar ... kind of a landmark in Jilly's life! Certainly won't be the last.

Memory does fade, but I recall having to collect you one day at St. Andrew's after some playmate (Jakey Eleker?) smashed you in the face with a 2x4. We figured the gash would heal up OK without sutures, so no trip to Emerg for you. Too bad you banged the same spot on the dashboard on the trip home ... LOL!!
