SomethingAwful takes a shot at ZombieSquad

Published by Mugwug at 08:44:06 under Stupid Human Tricks

Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. SomethingAwful’s feature the weekend web takes a quick peek at three forums, one of which is the Zombie Squad, and pokes fun at them using examples from each to illustrate why they are so pathetic.

They are still role-playing zombie invasion as if it never went out of style. What would the government do if zombies invaded right now??? I DON’T GIVE A HOOT. I GOT BILLS TO WORRY ABOUT.

The segment is entirely composed of screencaps of various forum posts, context isn’t so important as long as the post itself has some humourous elements.

Context is not that important, right?

And like this example taken from the SA forums, uh… well, I’m certain the poster just has too much time on his hands.

Ah well, it’s all in good fun, and there’s no such thing as bad publicity, right?

I guess this means I am famous. I am gonna bring some signed pictures of me to the New Years Eve party tonight and see if people wanna buy them.

Grif, trust me when I say this.

    You are famous.

Don’t let anyone tell you any different. Especially tonight.

They didn’t really slam us that much and they actually pointed out some decent quotes including the charity work and the “don’t be a dumbass” posts from noncyr and I. I get the impression it wasn’t their intention to really trash us. There are quite a few dumb kids on the ZS forums that have far more interesting comedy gold quotable comments.

Besides, a community that can’t laugh at itself (especially a zombie survival community) is taking itself way too serious. :)

    True enough Kyle.

As I said, no such thing as bad advertising, eh?
