Miller at it again…

Mayor Miller has unveiled his ‘get tough on crime’ platform, which was predictable in it’s points. Miller promises to call upon the Federal Government to ban all handguns and semi-automatic weapons, again.

I say we call upon the federal government to ban ineffectual mayors who forget they’re just running a city, not the country.

    I would like to thank you Erik, as the article refrenced actually led us to finding a candidate running against Miller. The election list has some 40 people running for Mayor without filtering who are the crackpots(all of them) from the real candidates(none of them).

    Unfortunately the next closest candidate, Jane Pitfield, has no focused campaign strategy, and is polling %28 to Millers %52. She also happens to be Matt Ramages council member, but I don’t hold that against her. That’s the best we can hope for.

    Ya know I emailed Jane Pitfield at the address listed on her website more than 5 months ago asking her about her stance on the “gun-ban solution” and not so suprisingly never received a response.

    In Millers defence, at least I’ve always received a prompt form letter when I’ve sent him an email complaining about his anti-gun stance.

    My lasting regret with respect to the move is that I won’t be able to cast my vote against Miller.

    That said, pretty slim pickings in Toronto for the mayors slot isn’t it? A field of gray…

    …

    All of their gun control methods haven’t stopped the recent shootings, so what do they think the answer is? More gun control!

    Hear, hear…and while we’re on the banning bandwagon, let’s ban having to listen to his stupid, ineffectual ideas anymore.

    Pittfield is sounding better and better every time he opens his mouth.
