Weekend house work…
No energy left. Assorted jobs working on the outside of the house. The dubious distinction of everything looking pretty much as it did before I started (patching cracks and painting goop around the foundation, if done right no one notices.).
Now a few minor aches and pains. Time to retire to the couch.
What?!! No ‘before and after’ pictures?!
Oh no! You’ve turned into one of those suburban homeowners! Now you’ll spend all of your spare time doing home repairs, looking for the perfect piece of funiture for that corner nook, and discussing your next redecorating project with the Missus.
At least you have a house to do all of this in. In Vancouver, we will never get beyond a condo.
Being domesticated is pretty OK from my viewpoint. It’s just that it sneaks up on most of us.
Hehe, CM I don’t think we can precisely say I’ve turned into a suburban homeowner, but close. We’re not out antiquing on the weekends, and quite frankly with the munchkin running around furniture is no where near the top of our list.
I am most certainly domestic however.
Condo…grrrr…. one of the main reasons we fled the city, there was no way we were going to be able to afford much more than a condo if we staying in the big city. I’m much happier with this place than a glorified apartment (no offence intended).
Strata councils…-SHUDDER-.. like I don’t have enough levels of government dictating to me without adding another.
