VZ58, the new anti-zombie rifle?

Published by Mugwug at 10:31:10 under Firearms

Time is short these days, but I still spend a good deal of my working time thinking about my next firearms project. It seems the most likely new project, is to revisit an old project. Since acquiring the VZ58 I have been a little dissatisfied with the Anti-Zombie SKS-D. At just short of 11lbs it occurs to me I’m getting carbine bang for battle rifle weight. I’ve almost resigned myself to parting with the AZR and making a few minimalist changes to the VZ58 to allow it to serve the same function.

We’ll see how this line of thinking progresses, but I’m open to suggestions for the time being.

If I were you I’d be proud to call it my new AZR! You did nice work on the SKS though. I try not to grow too attached, it’s just a tool after-all.

My AZR is my C7. It’s what I know… I’ve got a stockpile of supplies for it on hand.

Agreed, I was interested to find that I’m not all that attached to most of the projects I’ve undertaken.

The Springfield M1 is a possible exception, as it was one of my first major undertakings. Since then I remain conscious that if the rifles are getting no range time they’re safe queens. And I’m not a big fan of safe queens.

I’m sure someone just getting into the shooting sport would love to take your tuned up sks off your hands. He’ll need it for his own defence against the zombie horde.

Think about it… You might just save a life by selling it to those in need.

    TEE HEE

Just make sure you send the proceeds to your ammo stocks. I heard last you were running a might low. ;)
