Zombie Con 2005
Zombie Squad is hosting Zombie Con 2005 in Missouri in June this year, and despite my scheming and plotting there is no conceivable way I can even pretend I will be able to make it.
Even if I was able to attend just crossing the border would prevent me from bringing any real interesting toys. Still, a nice zombie laden atmosphere combined with some outdoor activities would have been a welcomed distraction from the day-to-day world. Sort of camping, but with zombie movies and stuff….. how can it miss?
I’ll continue to scheme… but it’s idle scheming right now.

That sucks, you’ll probably find some way to get there. At least your elgibile to go.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed, but I’m not holding my breath. I think I’ll have to hold out for ZombieCon’06, I just hope theres enough of a turnout for this one to justify a ZC06….
I am also a little jealous of those that are going to this one….ah well, c’est la vie.
Thanks for the plug! Even if it’s only the locals that actually show up this year we’ll still have it next year. No worries there.
We haven’t said anything to anyone about it yet but we’re considering having two a year. One in the summer where we have a bunch of activities and crap like this one then another in the winter. The winter one will be free but we won’t be supplying anything. It’ll be a better test of your survival skills in extreme weather.
Hey Kyle,
This is something I really wanted to take part in. Ignoring the fact that it would be nice to put faces to the names, it sounds like the sort of fun I haven’t had in a while (camping and zombies, there’s a combination I had honestly never considered before).
I’ll keep my eyes peeled for the winter dates, and see if I can’t arrange a road trip.

Oh yeah, that’s what the world needs, another Erik “trust me I’ve planned everything” road trip.
Ok, look you!
Just because you were somewhat concerned about driving across the country with 3.75 square feet of space to jam yourself into is no reason to paint all my ventures with the same brush!
You’ve known me 10 years or so, you know damn well if I say ““I’ve got a plan” that its code for “I have an idea” and if I say “I’ve measured it” I’m just plain lying.
I’m hoping you’re on board for the next range trip, you’ve been missing out on the “trapped on the 401 with a 5 month old” aspect of things…
It should add an interesting dimension….
