Well, I’m starting to decompress after the house buying/moving experience, and it’s starting to feel like we’re home.
Yesterday Dad came by and helped (by helped I mean did virtually all the work while I stood by) with sorting out our utility room on the ground floor (which got bumped up the priority list when the furniture delivery guys couldn’t get the new washer and dryer into the basement).
While this was going on our (overdue) internet service was connected, and with it came our telephone service for the house. A tiny detail considering all that has passed, but one that has kept us feeling like we’re in limbo.
Still many many many details to be sorted out, dozens of items on the action list to bring certain aspects up to snuff.
Of course it figures that right around the move I’d be extra busy at work, but I’m not complaining, at least not yet.
