Think the lie through first…
Worst excuse heard at work recently, from a motorist who has just driven 50 meters past a “no unauthorized vehicles” sign.
Motorist: “I’m so sorry, I didn’t see the sign.”
Me: “Which sign?”
Motorist: “The no entry sign back there.”
Me: “Just to clarify, you didn’t see the sign you have just described to me?”
Motorist: “uh….”
Riiight, so you didn’t see the sign that you saw. Cool.
Brilliant!
The sad thing is, my first thought was “I could still get him acquitted.”.
Maybe he could claim short term memory loss???
