Our house is sold, new house is bought’ish…

Published by at 17:34:12 under General

Another busy week (short pause for whining and so forth here).

The conditions on the sale of our house were waived on Friday, we now have a deal.

That in mind Lisa, Jilly and I drove a ways today and put in an offer on a place we’ve had our eye on for a while.

Our offer (after a few volleys back and forth) was accepted and we now have a few more hurdles to jump through (inspection, insurance and financing – natch) but I’m rather excited about the new place (The television cabling is run through the ductwork, the telephone wiring is baseboard’ish, there is no surveillance system or any sort of media server – sounds like a blank slate, no?)

More updates as they are available.

Congrats on the quick sale and on finding a new place so fast.
Go for IP video surveillance this time. It’s come down in price a long way and the bang for the buck is really good now. You can do so many things with it, you’ll be entertained for months.

    I know you’ll miss Larry.
Think of how boring it’ll be without the worlds biggest redneck living next door.

So – everything that can be done with respect to the ‘new place’ has now been done, and it’s simply a matter of waiting for the passage of time. Roll on 16 July! ;-)

It’s so exciting, a new house, a new town.
You get to do all the fun “New Place” stuff like finding cool local restaurants and
short cuts to the nearest Tim’s, I’m almost jealous.
Lets not forget the commute time.
I suspect you’ll find a “Thermal, night vision, facial recognition, fully automatic, motion sensing, web accessible” security system isn’t as pressing, when your neighbors aren’t
    wicked redneck losers.
