As Stauffenburg? Sweet Zombie Jebus…

Published by at 06:51:09 under General

Oh my aching love of history… Tom Cruise as Claus Von Stauffenburg in the movie Valkyrie, dramatizing the events surrounding one of the most ambitious assassination attempts on Adolf Hitler during the war.

But Tom Cruise?

Damn.

Strange, you never struck me as a Cruise fan. I would have figured news of his casting would make you upset, not giddy with excitement. You never fail to surprise me, Erik…

    Uh….

Oh wait, at first I didn’t see the “sarcasm” emoticon.

    Prick…

I heard he was an alien. Tom Cruise not Stauffenburg.
Nik wants to see this movie, I’d rather reenact “Dude, where’s my car?” naked in the cactus patch, but what can you do?
Tom cruise was great in that movie where he played the cocky young guy, who broke all the rules, and still managed to have everything work out in the end…:)
To be honest he was food in Tropic Thunder, but that might have been the swearing.

I still do not believe that was him in Tropic Thunder.

If it does somehowcomes down to you recreating Dude, Where’s My Car in a cactus patch, remember to have a camera rolling. Youtube’ll love that shit.

‘Risky Business’ was good. Downhill ever since. Especially his Scientology plugs.

I’m sorry, say what you will about Mr. Cruise, but Top Gun and Days of Thunder are on the so bad they’re good quotable list. He had the brains to bring Ving Rhaimes into the first 2 MI’s. I presume he’s in the third, but I couldn’t bring myself to watch it…There is only so much Cruise one can take.

Christ, Teddy, did you cry at the end of Jerry MacGuire?

  8. Mugwugon 05 Dec 2008 at 13:58:44

Yeah, Tropic Thunder was almost a good role, still it’s Cruise for heavens sake.

    There was a third MI?

Wow…good thing I read this blog or I’d have missed that.

OK, OK, Days of Thunder was good, well not good, but entertaining.
Risky Business is still a great movie.
But no, seriously I heard he’s an alien.

You had me at hello…It’s so romantic.

Risky Business? C’mon, take Rebecca De Mornay out of that and it’s an idiot who sunk his dads car, hung around with hookers and bribed his way into school (another Kennedy compound weekend).

    He IS an alien.

Actually, he wasn’t bad. Say what you will about Cruise, he can act. He doesn’t always, but he can.
