Nice, putting the PR back in “prick”

Published by at 16:28:18 under Politics

My “binky of the month” award is hereby given to Attorney General of Ontario Michael Bryant for statements made that demonstrate his understanding of gun control issues here in Canada and how they compare to his concealed involvement in a “grass roots” gun control organization.

The gun lobby is clearly furious that the “no gun, no funeral” phrase is gaining traction with the public, he said.

“It’s my phrase; it’s my idea; it’s my website,” Bryant said. “It’s bizarre that people who don’t want to register their guns think I should register my website as a dangerous weapon.

Not quite jagoff, THIS person that DID register his firearms wants YOU to operate above board. That’s it, that’s the entire complaint. As for the “no gun, no funeral” phrase, I think it’s clever, my own contribution is “no politician, no taxes”, What do you think?

“No gun, no funeral?” For real?
    What the hell is that?
How about “No stupid catch phrase, no irritated voters.”

It’s cheap politics – playing to the frightened and uninformed. That’s what the hell it is.

Then, again, most of the electorate can’t be bothered to research or reflect on complex issues, so this ‘knee-jerk’ kind of stuff generally does ‘work’.

In my book, it’s just making political hay out of other peoples’ misery. Misidentify the problem, propose an inappropriate solution. Doesn’t contribute to the debate about the problem, just polarizes peoples’ thinking. What else is new?

dont all web sites have to be registered, at least at a DNS level? with thats a good idea, how about we get it de-registerd at the DNS level, and then no one can hear him rant. (insert evil grin here)

Did the Liberal Partyh pay any price for their fraud and sockpuppetry up to and during the last election? This is just an example of easy, well-paying jobs for friends, and a place to funnel money.

Why don’t you throw it right back in his face? Start the saying to anyone who says it to you “No Gun? Your funeral!”
