Quickie post..
Sorry folks, been feeling generally unwell the last few days. Have left work early two nights running due to flu-like symptoms combined with exhaustion (both bad when behind the wheel).
The Anti-Zombie SKS has been sold. but not yet delivered, with the proceeds (or at least part of them) I’ve found a Smith & Wesson Model #14 in .38 Special that should fit in with my other handguns just fine (this transfer of course needs to go through the Provincial Chief Firearms Officer, so expect a week just for them to stamp “approved” on a transfer between two licenced firearms owners).
Also special ordered some 7.62×25mm ammo for the CZ52. Would you believe the price I was quoted was $19.95 a box? That’s $0.40 a round, a price I’d expect for long gun ammunition more than dinky Tokarev ammo. In any event, unable to source the ammo anywhere else (and having been unable to try the CZ52 out for a year) I sucked it up, told my inner voice to STFU and ordered 5 boxes (officially making 250 rounds of ammo cost approximately half as much as the pistol is worth).
Ok… only have the two days off, and my internal clock is completely fubar. Not quite on a night schedule and definately not on a day schedule. Basically just confused enough to ensure that my first night back is, as always, one completed without the benefit of sleep.

Nice to see you back, at least. We were starting to wonder if the zombies had gotten ya…
Try and take it easy, Bro.
You have a bad habit of working yourself too hard,
getting sick and still pushing too hard.
If you don’t have your health, and all that.
A S&W, your first wheel gun?
Any particulars on it, barrel length, is it +p rated?
Take care man.
Yeah, the boxer-primed new ammo for 7.62×25 is expensive: least I’ve seen it for was $11/box, and that was a few months ago.
Which is why I’ve been using the surplus stuff in mine, about $9-10 for a box of 72. Have to clean appropriately for corrosive priming, but that’s not a big deal.
