More house pics..

Published by at 22:42:47 under House Stuff

our little home

I’ve had a few complaints that pictures of the new homestead have been rather scarce. This was on my mind when I woke up and noticed the snow falling, so I grabbed the digital camera and walked across the street to grab a few snaps. Here then, for your enjoyment, is our little home with a light dusting of snow.

[Edited to add: Can't spot any of the 5 perimeter cameras, can you?]

I really need to focus on what the picture is about when you post these damn things. I spent about 30 seconds trying to see if the melted pattern in the roof of the house behind yours actually spells anything. It sort of looks like “CIZ”.

It’s “C13″, unfortunately you’ve seen too much and now government flunkies are actively planning your ruin.

    Oh wait… never mind.

Ah, yes, snow. The reason I no longer live in the land of the trillium. That and the humid summers.
If you conceal a few claymores in the foliage beside your house, you won’t have to worry about interlopers so much. Use CPTED to your advantage and blast the bad guys in their hiding place.

    Nice.

That balcony over the door would be a good spot for sandbags and a motor or MG…

Hehe, already considered. Although as the balcony sits so far back along the roof for the porch the lines of sight are really pitiful. It might be used for long distance observation, but this line of sight is also screened off for the trees.

Sadly, should the zombocalypse come tommorow the balcony is gonna be used for smoke breaks.

It looks like a snug harbor with that stone-work, at least from the balcony you can toss dynamite. How’s the roof-access? :-)

Looks like a pretty good “defensible” perimeter. Are your cams the usual size?
