Ultraviolet…huh?

Published by under General

Just rented this movie and have to ask “what the hell?”.

I know it’s budget wasn’t huge, but is coherence so expensive these days?

[Edited to add: I should have taken Mikes word on it.]

August? WTF?

Published by under General

It’s August already? Where did July go?

We’re well settled in the new house, we’ve already undertaken some small reno projects, with slightly bigger efforts in the works for the coming weeks (provided the heat gives us a bit of a break, natch). Likely the first major undertaking is stripping sealer off the base of the foundation and re-gooping it, followed by patching several cracks on the outside of the house itself. All this work will likely result in the house being painted to cover the patching, but I’m still unsure what we’ll paint the house in. Best thought I’ve come up with some far is the “faux-stone” paint offered at Home depot/Canadian tire/Home Hardware, but that increases the costs significantly.

I’m still driving 200km round trip to work, but the job search continues for something non-security related locally. It’s nice not “needing” a job, as I can apply for almost anything with complete impunity (of course that doesn’t mean they’ll call me back), and keep my fingers crossed that something promising pans out.

Not a whole lot else to mention…
