Vz.58 furniture redone…

Published by Mugwug at 18:09:44 under Project: VZ58

Regardless of the outcome of the poll I had planned to do the stock in black. Yesterday being my first day off I raced over to my uncles to borrow his basement, and took a quick stab at refinishing it. I collected the assorted furniture today and re-installed them this evening.

The results, while not spectacular, are quite a bit better than the mottled and mismatched original finish.

I like it.

You know, I like it, although I’m not usually a fan of black furniture. Could even make a nice anti-zombie rifle one day?

    Evil.

Shit!! That looks great!! Gotta get me one. Apparently, Lever’s close to sold out on the items.

    How’d you do the finish?!

Rob: Ah, as this rifle costs 3X the price of my anti-zombie rifle I don’t think it’ll ever claim the title, but as far as personal preference goes this one may just be my SHTF rifle.

    Ian: -GRIN-

Patrick: Secret weapon. Truck bed liner.

I must have missed you by only a few minutes. I was at Dad’s for a couple hours yesterday.

Mike: Hmmm, Murphys law… I dance in and out of there perty quick. As we’ve still not settled our daycare headaches if I’m not working then I’ve got Jilly in tow. She sorta limits my time on the ground, and I find after about an hour anywhere it’s time to leave.

Hopefully we’ll get some daycare sorted out for a few days a week, so both Lisa and I can get some time off now and again.

Done any follow-up on the Estonian gun club?

Pink would have been more tactical.

Looks real slick! Now you just have to beat it up for some good character.

Out of curiosity, couldn’t you dye the stock as well? Won’t wear out like paint…

Do you need a shoulder to cry on about sleeping? I agree with Kristopher that pink with purple would have been better.
